Job Title: Telecommunication Cable Installation Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Telecommunication Cable Installation Specialist to join our team at OB IT SOLUTIONS INC. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting and testing cable signals and associated equipment, installing and maintaining aerial and underground telephone equipment, and repairing cable signals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment
  • Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment
  • Repair cable signals
  • Install trunking systems, circuits and equipment
  • Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders or other support structures
  • Install cable modems and software to enable Internet access
  • Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers and amplifiers
  • Splice, join and connect wires
  • Repair or replace defective telephone equipment

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • Ability to climb and work aloft on poles, ladders or other support structures
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines
  • Work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures and weather conditions
