Job Title: Transportation Manager

SHIPCART DISTRIBUTION SERVICES is seeking a highly skilled Transportation Manager to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our transportation department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate daily operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
  • Monitor department performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Plan and organize daily operations to meet business objectives
  • Plan for changes to schedules and policies to minimize disruptions
  • Prepare reports for senior management to inform strategic decisions
  • Supervise a team of 3-4 staff members to ensure they have the necessary resources and support
  • Manage finances and budget to ensure cost-effectiveness
  • Arrange for shipping documentation and track goods in transit to ensure timely delivery
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards
  • Negotiate with service providers to secure preferential rates
  • Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods
  • Monitor revenue and adjust transportation service rates as needed
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure accurate tracking and reporting
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption for analysis and improvement
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • 1-2 years of experience in transportation management or a related field
  • Equivalent experience may be considered
Work Environment:
  • Permanent position
  • 40 hours per week
  • English language required
