Job Description

  • Lead the Faculty of Design in its educational and research development, facilitating community and institutional partnerships.
  • Enhance the student experience and align the goals of the Faculty of Design with the University's Academic and Strategic Plan.
  • Champion the vision, needs, and evolution of faculty members.
  • Develop and implement strategic priorities and initiatives to advance decolonization, equity, and sustainability.
  • Promote positive transformation and change within the Faculty of Design.
  • Effectively manage the University's academic programs, research, and outreach.
  • Support the University's educational goals and enrich University life.
  • Promote excellence in research, professional practice, and teaching within the Faculty.

Requirements

  • Profound expertise and rich experience within your specialized field.
  • Foundational education in a studio-based environment.
  • Widely acknowledged as a leading authority in your subject or professional domain.
  • Substantial record in teaching, research, and professional accomplishments within the Faculty's program areas.
  • Strong leadership, program and faculty advocacy, curricular development, and administrative experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of how to embed decolonization, sustainability, and social justice into academic programming, organizational culture, creative practice, and the student experience.
