Onsite Technical Support Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Onsite Technical Support professional to join our team at Campus Support. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our campus IT infrastructure, providing technical support to our staff and students, and delivering instruction that meets our curriculum objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot campus IT infrastructure, including servers, internet, computers, and peripherals.
  • Provide high-level technical support for institution hardware and software to ensure campus operations run smoothly.
  • Support the day-to-day operation of the Campus Support head office.
  • Deliver instruction that meets module and program objectives as set out in the curriculum.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education and a minimum of two years of experience in IT/network administration or a related field.
  • Strong networking knowledge, troubleshooting aptitude, and familiarity with Windows, PC, and Mac operating systems, hardware, and software applications.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills, with the ability to convey information simply and efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrates and encourages high standards of behavior, professionalism, and commitment to quality service.
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills, and ability to multi-task in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Network Engineer (CNE) or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) designation is an asset.
  • Certification such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar is an asset.
  • Experience with remote support tools and techniques.
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies and procedures.
