Firebag Technical Solutions is a professional consulting engineering firm that provides project planning, engineering design, and project management services to the Oil and Gas industry.

We are seeking a skilled SmartPlant P&ID Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing engineering design application support in the Oil and Gas/PetroChemical Industry and a strong aptitude for project planning and implementation of new design software.

The SmartPlant P&ID Administrator will be responsible for:

  • Aiding with technical requirements gathering and client meetings
  • Maintaining the SPPID reference database for projects
  • Troubleshooting and solving P&ID problems
  • Developing detailed project work instructions for users
  • Administering SPPID, including creating symbology, filters, reports, and system maintenance
  • Producing setup documentation detailing the SPPID setup
  • Following department and client drafting methods and standards
  • Creating auditing requirements and checking for quality assurance of the design effort
  • Maintaining and verifying daily backup routines
  • Helping develop automation enhancements

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of SPPID and experience in the Oil and Gas/PetroChemical Industry. They will also have excellent communication skills and be able to effectively work with the engineering disciplines.
