Job Title: Truck Dispatcher

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Truck Dispatcher to join our team at ROAD HAWK TRUCKING LTD.

Job Summary:

The Truck Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating the movement of trucks and trailers, ensuring timely delivery of goods, and maintaining accurate records of shipments. This is a critical role that requires strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, including tracking numbers and delivery status
  • Coordinate with drivers and dispatchers to ensure timely delivery of goods
  • Monitor traffic and road conditions to optimize routes and reduce delivery times
  • Communicate with customers to provide updates on shipment status and resolve any issues
  • Collaborate with the operations team to identify areas for improvement and implement process changes
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations, including cross-border dispatching regulations and highway trucking rules
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a dispatching or logistics role
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Knowledge of dispatch management software and GPS navigation systems
