About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Drywall Installation Specialist to join our team at Industrial Machine Tool Service Ltd. as a key member of our construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to ensure a smooth finish.
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for installation, including cutting and fitting drywall sheets to meet precise specifications.
  • Install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners and fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets, positioning and securing them to metal or wooden studs or joists.
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coats to dry, ensuring a professional finish.
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound to create a seamless finish.
  • Estimate costs and materials for drywall installation projects, taking into account factors such as labor, equipment, and materials.
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages, erecting and installing scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms as needed.
Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in drywall installation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a large workload and tight deadlines.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and ability to handle heavy loads.
  • Strong physical capabilities, including standing for extended periods and working in a physically demanding environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent judgment and reliability, with a strong focus on client satisfaction.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
Working Conditions
  • Work in a variety of locations, including commercial and residential settings.
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages.
  • Exposure to dust, noise, and other environmental factors.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment with heavy lifting and bending.
