About the Role


We are seeking an experienced Cloud Operations Manager to lead our team of engineers responsible for Cybersecurity, Site Reliability, and DevOps for our cloud platform. Reporting to the CTO, this role requires a technical hands-on leader with a deep understanding of AWS cloud architecture, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, and Cybersecurity.



Responsibilities



  • Monitoring and operations of the cloud platform
  • Maintenance and operations of CI/CD pipelines
  • Implementation and operation of cybersecurity controls
  • Leading critical incident response
  • Management of cloud costs


Requirements


To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • A strong background in AWS cloud architecture, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, and Cybersecurity
  • 5+ years of experience leading a team of DevOps and/or Site Reliability Engineers for a commercial high availability SaaS product
  • Experience collaborating with software engineering teams to achieve high software delivery and operational performance
  • Knowledge of ISO 27001 and/or SOC2 controls and participating in audits
  • Ability to conduct security audits, risk assessments, and security incident resolutions with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience designing and implementing OKRs to achieve team performance
  • Ability to lead and influence decision-making with data insights
  • Will to participate in an on-call roster
  • Ability to support communication about cloud systems and cybersecurity concepts to Wenco's mining customers

  • Experience with Azure DevOps
  • Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives, including adoption of automation, monitoring, and incident management tools and practices
  • Experience with projects under the Cloud Native (CNCF) Landscape
  • Experience leading and collaborating with globally distributed teams

  • Competitive salary based on your skills and experience: $120,000 - $150,000 per year

You must meet the following requirements:



  • Bachelor Degree in Information Technology (or equivalent)
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada
  • This role may require some travel to customer sites or international Wenco offices (~10%): estimated salary range based on location, $130,000 - $160,000 per year
