Job Summary:

Northern Dock Systems is seeking a skilled Overhead Door Service Technician to join our team. As an Overhead Door Service Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of loading dock and overhead door equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair loading dock and overhead door equipment
  • Work with coordinators for parts requirements and scheduling
  • Maintain adequate levels of stock of required parts on your truck
  • Identify and report when quantities are low and require re-ordering
  • Complete daily work reports and PMP checklists in a timely and appropriate fashion
  • Demonstrate proper safety procedures and product knowledge
  • Supervise and teach apprentices while on-site if partnered

Qualifications:

  • 2 – 4 years of Overhead dock and door industry experience is required
  • Must be highly proficient with hand and power tools
  • Sound mechanical knowledge is a must
  • Sound electrical knowledge is an asset
  • Valid driver's license with clean abstract
  • Basic computer knowledge in order to complete daily work
  • Must keep current with required training and compliance as determined by NDS and our customers
