Job Description

We are seeking an Expert Technology Attorney to join our team in a hybrid role requiring 2 days per week or more in the office. As a key member of our legal team, you will provide advice and representation in support of software licensing, outsourcing, and other third-party vendor agreements.

The ideal candidate will have experience working on cutting-edge technologies and possess knowledge of the financial services industry and its environment. They will be responsible for providing expert advice on technology-related matters, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 3-7 years of legal practice with a technology focus or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Degree in law (LLB or JD) and license to practice law in relevant jurisdiction.
  • Private practice, in-house experience, or experience at regulatory body relating to the regulation of business/group activities may be required.
Estimated Salary Range: $88,400.00 - $163,800.00 (Salaried)

This salary range is based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the number of hours regularly worked.

About the Role

In this role, you will work closely with subject matter experts to advise on intellectual property, data privacy, cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution. You will also contribute to the preparation of document templates and know-how related to sourcing and technology matters.

You will have the opportunity to make recommendations to senior leaders on strategy and new initiatives based on your expertise and understanding of the business.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing legal advice and representation in support of software licensing, outsourcing, and other third-party vendor agreements.
  • Negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures.
  • Advising internal stakeholders on legal issues and standards for contracting with third-party vendors.
  • Cordinating with subject matter experts to advise on intellectual property, data privacy, cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution.
  • Contribution to the preparation of document templates and know-how related to sourcing and technology matters.
