Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at A&W Restaurants Inc. as a key member of our kitchen staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain high standards of sanitation, health, and safety in the kitchen, adhering to food safety protocols and regulations.
  • Clean and maintain food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils to ensure a clean and safe environment.
  • Verify that prepared food meets quality and quantity standards, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Cook and package batches of food, including eggs, sausages, bacon, hamburgers, chicken, fish, french fries, and Onion Rings.
  • Prepare foods following specific methods, often requiring short preparation times.
  • Operate large-volume cooking equipment, such as grills and deep-fat fryers, efficiently and safely.
  • Read food order monitors or receive verbal instructions to prepare and cook food according to customer orders.
  • Measure ingredients required for specific food items, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Clean, stock, and restock workstations to maintain a well-organized kitchen environment.
  • Cook the exact number of items ordered by each customer, working on multiple orders simultaneously.
  • Wash, cut, and prepare foods designated for cooking or assembly of final products.
  • Schedule activities and equipment use with managers, coordinating cooking times based on daily volume.
  • Receive delivery of supplies and maintain inventory levels.
  • Train and transfer skills to junior team members, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and growth.
