Becoming a Senior Additive Manufacturing Specialist at Samuel Packaging Systems Group is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of a pioneering metal technology company in Canada. About the Job

This role offers an attractive estimated salary of CAD 85,000 - 110,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as comprehensive benefits including health and dental coverage, paid vacation time, and a defined contribution pension plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • We're looking for someone who can develop AM strategies, including support structures and build layouts.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in developing process parameters and strategies for advanced applications/new materials.
  • You'll review customer requirements and provide expert feedback.
  • Your strong CAD skills will enable you to design process workflows for additive manufacturing.
  • Maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and collaborating with the manufacturing team in supporting daily additive operations are also key responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in mechanical, materials, or manufacturing engineering is required.
  • At least three years' experience in metal additive manufacturing application, process, and operations is necessary.
  • Prior experience in additive manufacturing processes such as laser powder-bed fusion, electron powder-bed fusion, and direct energy deposition is highly valued.
  • Solid knowledge of CAD modeling and drafting software like SolidWorks, Ansys, and Magics Materialise is essential.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and using basic measurement tools is also expected.
