Accounts Payable Financial Associate

The City of Barrie, a vibrant and progressive community, is seeking an Accounts Payable Financial Associate to join its Finance Department. Located in the heart of the city, our team provides financial leadership, advice, and support to the Corporation, ensuring the delivery of Council's Strategic plan.
Key Responsibilities:- Receive and process invoices for payment, ensuring compliance with the Procurement Bylaw and Corporate policies
- Closely work with internal and external clients regarding the status of payments
We are looking for an individual who possesses excellent analytical, problem-solving, and research skills, as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills. If you are detail-oriented and can meet deadlines, we want to hear from you
Required Qualifications:- Three-year College Diploma in Accounting or equivalent experience
- Two years of related experience with processing high volumes of invoices
- Computer literacy utilizing Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel)
