Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse - Geriatrics

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Pro Vita Care Management. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a nursing home setting.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide nursing care to patients in a long-term care facility. The ideal candidate will have experience working with geriatric patients and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Conduct vital sign assessments and document patient information
  • Provide wound care and dressing changes
  • Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Monitor patients' progress and report any changes to the Registered Nurse
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care plans
Requirements:
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the province/territory of work
  • Completion of the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination
  • CPR Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work
