About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Imaging Booking Clerk to join our team at BC Cancer. As a key member of our scheduling team, you will be responsible for coordinating patient appointments and ensuring seamless communication with medical staff, patients, and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scheduling and Booking: Schedule and book patient appointments for designated areas within Radiology, ensuring timely and efficient use of resources.
  • Communication and Coordination: Communicate with patients, medical staff, and families to confirm appointments, relay instructions, and address any concerns.
  • Requisition Management: Manage requisitions for patient appointments, including preparing and confirming patient information, and entering booking and patient information into radiology and hospital computerized systems.
  • Reception and Administrative Duties: Provide reception and administrative support, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and maintaining accurate records.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Grade 12, two years' recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Skills and Abilities: Ability to keyboard at 40 wpm, knowledge of medical terminology, effective communication and interpersonal skills, and physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
