Rental Logistics Specialist Job Description

Overview:

The Rental Logistics Specialist plays a critical role in driving efficiency in rental equipment operations and deliveries. This position requires effective communication with cross-functional teams and all levels of the organization to ensure seamless execution of rental business objectives, LE delivery scheduling, deployment, auctions, and customer service demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispatch and Support: Utilize dispatch software to ensure timely pickup and delivery of rental assets, ensuring all equipment are picked up and delivered on time. Develop delivery technicians by providing weekly feedback and game plans aligned to Home Depot development resources.
  • Equipment Tracking and Coordination: Coordinate equipment tracking devices (GPS program) including activation and troubleshooting issues. Track and provide updates on annual trailer certification process to ensure compliance.
  • Customer Service and Support: Foster a culture of customer service and support, working closely with MSTs, LRTs, and other teams to provide solutions for rental customers. Analyze and coordinate the transfer of equipment from store to store.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Utilize customer delivery reports to formulate efficient service strategies with Rental Delivery Drivers (RDDs). Coordinate vehicle compliance, including ELD set-up, CVOR renewals, annual inspection tracking, vehicle PPE, and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or GED
  • Certifications: Valid Driver's License for the province you reside in and good driving record

Working Conditions:

  • Various Home Depot stores

Physical Requirements:

  • May include physical demands such as lifting (up to 50 lbs.) from the waist, lifting from the shoulder, prolonged standing, bending, kneeling, crawling underneath equipment, climbing on top of equipment, reaching, and stretching.
