Chair of Justice Studies

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced academic leader to serve as the Chair of Justice Studies at the University of Guelph-Humber. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the academic and administrative affairs of the program, ensuring its continued excellence and relevance in the field of study.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the development and implementation of a vision for the program that ensures relevancy, competitiveness, and currency in the field of study.
- Be accountable for the overall operational planning/management of the program, including course planning, instructor appointments, and academic rules and regulations.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the program's content remains relevant and current.
- Participate in University committees as required, such as the Academic Management and Programs Committee.
- Lead the processes related to cyclical evaluation of the program and external registration requirements.
- A master's degree in Justice Studies or a closely related field.
- Industry or professional work experience specifically related to the field.
- 5-9 years of extensive postsecondary experience, including teaching, scholarly work, coordination, and administration.
- Demonstrated administrative capability, strategic thinking, and leadership skills.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
