The Role

We are seeking a skilled Apprentice Heavy Duty Truck Technician to join our team at Edmonton Kenworth Ltd. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty trucks, ensuring they are in top working condition.

Responsibilities

Our ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in heavy equipment repair and maintenance, with a focus on heavy-duty trucks. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations
  • Repairing and replacing defective parts and components
  • Testing repaired equipment to ensure it meets manufacturer specifications
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest technology and attending training sessions as needed

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High school diploma
  • A Heavy Equipment Technician Apprenticeship Certification with Heavy Truck experience
  • Minimum 2 years training in a Heavy Duty Truck fleet or shop environment
  • Valid Class 1 or Class 3 drivers license considered an asset
