Job Summary
The Cornwall Community Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Medical Radiation Technologist to join our Diagnostic Services team. As a Medical Radiation Technologist, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality radiological examinations and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce all required radiological examinations according to prescribed standards, utilizing general radiography, mobile radiography, gastric studies, mobile fluoroscopy, urology, and O.R. equipment.
- Perform tasks such as selecting and preparing contrast media, producing high-quality images, and utilizing protective radiation safeguards.
- Document all appropriate information in the radiology information system and uphold all policies and procedures of the department and organization.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of Radiology.
- Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario.
- Proficiency in digitized radiography equipment.
- Recent relevant experience.
- Excellent computer skills and good working knowledge of HIS, RIS, and PACS.
- Demonstrated effective communication skills, critical thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work well with multiple interruptions.
- Ability to work independently and within a multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Meet physical demands of position, including lifting over 60 lbs. and withstanding constant standing and/or walking.
- Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality.
- Current certification in BCLS.
- Demonstrated regular/punctual attendance.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety.
