Job Summary

The Cornwall Community Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging Department, you will be responsible for producing high-quality radiological examinations according to prescribed standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general radiography, mobile radiography, gastric studies, mobile fluoroscopy, urology, and other associated tasks.
  • Utilize all protective radiation safeguards and assume office and other related duties as required.
  • Document all appropriate information in the radiology information system.
  • Uphold all policies and procedures of the department and organization.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of radiology.
  • Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario.
  • Proficiency in digitized radiography equipment.
  • Recent relevant experience.
  • Excellent computer skills and good working knowledge of HIS, RIS, and PACS.
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills, critical thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work well with multiple interruptions.
  • Ability to work independently and within a multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Meet physical demands of position, including lifting over 60 lbs. and withstanding constant standing and/or walking.
  • Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BCLS).
  • Demonstrated regular/punctual attendance.
  • Demonstrated commitment to patient safety.

  • Current registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists.
