About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team at Cambie Physiotherapy and Health Clinic Inc. As a Physiotherapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our physiotherapists and occupational therapists in providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer tests and instruct patients on procedures, ensuring accurate results and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Carry out treatment programs under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists, promoting patient rehabilitation and recovery.
  • Clean and maintain equipment, adhering to infection control protocols and ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Maintain accurate clinical and progress reports, documenting patient rehabilitation progress and updating records as necessary.
  • Process files and paperwork efficiently, ensuring timely completion and submission of required documents.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring seamless communication with patients and staff.
  • Take patients' general medical and ophthalmic history, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to privacy protocols.
  • Manage routine office functions, including reception, telephone, and booking appointments, providing exceptional customer service.
Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in physiotherapy or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and precision in documentation and record-keeping.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities with ease.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting, with a focus on maintaining a safe working environment.
