We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our team in Montreal, QC. This role is responsible for ensuring all tax compliance, reporting and auditing requirements for two of our subsidiaries in Canada.

The successful candidate will prepare and review half year and year end income tax provisions calculations and related documentation, as well as assist with other functions including Global Minimum Tax data collection, calculations, and reporting/compliance, preparation of agreements and documentation of intercompany transactions and tax modelling.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and reviewing tax related compliance filings: income tax return (T2, T106, T1134), safe income calculation, withholding tax/NR4
  • Coordinating internal and external tax audit process: preparing and reviewing responses to auditors' questions and liaising with internal stakeholders and external auditors
  • Managing all tax credit processes, grants, and subsidies (SR&ED, C3i, IDCI and other incentive programs), coordinating internal team and external consultants to maximize tax credits
  • Supporting the implementation of S4HANA
  • Supporting the US tax team and/or external service provider with the filing of all US federal and states income tax and sales tax returns

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university
  • 5+ years' experience in a public accounting firm or a corporate tax department
  • Comprehensive knowledge of accounting and taxation principles and guidelines
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and tax compliance and research software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French

Estimated salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
