About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Floor Covering Specialist to join our team at SINGH'S CONSTRUCTION LTD. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining various types of flooring, including carpet, hardwood, and resilient floor coverings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Prepare Surfaces: Inspect surfaces to be covered and prepare them for installation by measuring, marking, and cleaning as needed.
  • Measure and Cut Materials: Measure and cut materials to the correct size and shape for installation.
  • Install Flooring: Install carpeting, hardwood, and resilient floor coverings on floors, walls, and other surfaces.
  • Remove Existing Flooring: Remove existing flooring and contaminants to prepare surfaces for new installations.
  • Conduct Quality Control: Conduct quality control checks to ensure installations meet our high standards.
  • Estimate and Order Materials: Estimate costs and materials needed for installations and order them as required.
  • Read and Interpret Plans: Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installations.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This role requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling. You must be able to distinguish between colors and have good hand-eye coordination.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 35 hours per week.
