Black & McDonald's Power Generation team is expanding rapidly, and we're seeking a skilled PNR Project Manager to join our team in Pickering. Reporting directly to the Program Manager, you'll play a crucial role in planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and evaluating construction projects from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and execute projects in accordance with Corporate Policy, managing all day-to-day project management activities.
- Define project objectives and develop the project delivery model, including procurement and contracting strategies.
- Prepare and submit construction project budget estimates, and negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements.
- Lead the project organization, assign work activities throughout the project lifecycle, and monitor project performance (cost, schedule, quality).
- Complete and distribute regular project reports to key stakeholders, including issues, status, and KPIs.
- Hire and supervise subcontractors, review work/contracts/WIP for areas of risk, and correct deficiencies.
- Supervise and complete project close-out activities, support the transition to operations, and perform sales calls and visits to generate business.
- 8 years of project management experience in the nuclear power plant industry or related construction/industrial projects, preferably in an EPC environment.
- Relevant experience in project development and planning, effectively managing projects of low risk and complexity, and overseeing project teams.
- Computer literacy, Microsoft Office programs, and Black & McDonald JD Edwards.
- Familiarity with Project Management Processes, including Project Controls, Work Planning & Scheduling, Labour Relations, and Contract Management.
