Grill Cook

We are seeking a skilled Grill Cook to join our team at DQ Grill & Chill. As a Grill Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:- Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet the needs of our customers.
- Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, ensuring their safety and satisfaction.
- Kitchen Maintenance: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization.
- Training and Development: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Supervision: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean kitchen and work areas, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our customers and staff.
- Disability Support: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities.
- Newcomer and Refugee Support: Support social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees, facilitating access to community resources, language training, and skills training.
- Youth Support: Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth, promoting their development and growth.
- Veteran Support: Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Veterans, creating a supportive and inclusive environment.
- Indigenous Support: Provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees, promoting a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
- Mature Worker Support: Apply hiring policies that discourage age discrimination, promoting a diverse and inclusive workforce.
- Visible Minority Support: Apply hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities, creating a welcoming and inclusive work environment.
Work Details: This is a permanent position with 35 hours of work per week. The work language is English.
