Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our Professional Services team, you will be responsible for leading client relationships and working with our team to provide support on various projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in utility IT, with expertise in advanced metering infrastructure (AMI), meter data management (MDM), and systems integration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Project Leadership: Lead engagements of all sizes, ensuring project objectives are achieved and delivered consistent with organizational service standards.
  • Business Development: Prepare and deliver presentations to educate clients on our services and solutions, and how our organization can assist the client.
  • Requirements Gathering: Prepare, lead, and validate outcomes of requirements gathering workshops with clients.
  • Reporting: Prepare and deliver strategy, technical, and non-technical reports for client engagements.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Provide guidance on subject matter expertise on current technologies in the market that are applicable to the project.
  • Decision Analysis: Lead decision analysis discussions with clients as required.
  • Business Cases: Prepare business cases and budgets for clients as required.
  • Integration: Provide guidance and recommendations on integrations of client systems, staying aligned with best practices.
  • Solution Design: Design and document solutions for client engagements and leverage team capabilities as required.
  • Team Management: Oversee and direct the activities of the team and ensure that client deliverables are achieved.
  • Knowledge Transfer: Transfer knowledge and support the development of the team in areas of expertise.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience: Working with advanced metering infrastructure (AMI), meter data management (MDM), and systems integration in the utility space.
  • Leadership Experience: 5+ years of experience leading large-scale, complex advanced metering initiatives, preferably in a professional service consultant organization.
  • Technical Expertise: Expert knowledge of multiple vendors' AMI and MDM solutions, with a solid understanding of current market trends and emerging technologies.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of smart cities solutions, the meter-to-cash process for utilities, and the utility industry as a whole.
  • Communication Skills: Expert communication skills, with the ability to develop and foster positive stakeholder relationships.
  • Leadership Skills: Advanced leadership skills, with the ability to simplify and document business requirements and processes.
