About the Opportunity

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Continuing Care Assistant at Shannex Incorporated. As a Continuing Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and mobilizing
  • Collaborate with the resident and other members of the interdisciplinary team in the development of individualized care plans
  • Assist with light housekeeping duties and maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Perform delegated nursing acts according to company policy and scope of practice
  • Communicate and report relevant information regarding resident care or safety to Supervisor
About You

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about providing exceptional care and support to our residents. To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A valid Continuing Care Certification or Provincial Personal Care Worker course or equivalent
  • Registration in Nova Scotia's CCA registry as per the Continuing Care Assistants Registry Act (NS only)
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Valid CPR & First Aid Certification
