About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Continuing Care Assistant to join our team at Northwood. As a Continuing Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in their homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Provide personal care services to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Light Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
  • Meal Preparation: Prepare meals for clients, taking into account their dietary needs and preferences.
  • Respite Care: Provide respite care for families and caregivers, giving them a much-needed break.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of client care, including progress notes and incident reports.
Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are required for this role.
  • Continuing Care Assistant Certification: A Continuing Care Assistant Provincial Certificate or equivalent is required.
  • Standard First Aid and CPR C: Completion of Standard First Aid and CPR C is required.
  • Alzheimer/Dementia Care Course: Completion of an Alzheimer/Dementia care course is an asset.
  • Availability: Availability to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays is required.
