Position Overview

We are looking for a proactive and innovative Platform Engineer specializing in Data and Analytics Platforms. This role is essential for delivering value through optimized infrastructure and robust platform support. You will be tasked with the development, management, and maintenance of our Data and Analytics platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement cloud automation workflows while supporting the cloud architecture.
  • Engage in hands-on cloud platform provisioning and configuration management coding, ensuring effective deployment.
  • Deliver comprehensive cloud solutions by implementing necessary cloud resources, including provisioning and security hardening.
  • Enhance monitoring and logging systems for cloud environments, enabling thorough end-to-end monitoring and reporting dashboards.
  • Standardize operational procedures by automating routine business-as-usual tasks.
  • Create and maintain operational and user documentation for engineering products and solutions.
  • Develop automation scripts and coding for platform management to support 24/7 operations and monitoring teams.
  • Conduct testing for new cloud platforms and prepare runbooks as cloud service offerings for business stakeholders.
  • Plan and execute critical controls and activities related to infrastructure and platform modifications.
  • Assist in capacity planning and resource management, providing recommendations to management as necessary.
  • Participate in disaster recovery drills and compliance activities as required by the operational team.
  • Collaborate with the architecture team to support the design and configuration of data and analytics environments.

Candidate Profile

  • At least 7 years of experience leading significant implementations of related technologies.
  • Hands-on expertise in Azure Cloud IaaS and PaaS management, including provisioning and scripting for both initial and ongoing operations.
  • Proficient in DevOps tools and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) programming, including Terraform, Python, and PowerShell.
  • Demonstrated experience with CI/CD pipelines and repository management tools such as GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
  • Experience in implementing and maintaining large-scale data and analytics systems.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure service provisioning, security principles, and best practices in IaaS and PaaS models.
  • Experience with compliance and audit processes to enforce policies and standards.
  • Proficient in scripting and programming languages, including Python, PowerShell, and shell scripting.
  • Understanding of ITIL processes and their application.
  • Strong knowledge of risk management, security, and compliance requirements.
  • Good grasp of networking infrastructure and troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, etc.).
  • Able to support enterprise infrastructure and contribute to daily operational tasks.
  • Reliable team player with the ability to adapt to change and work independently.
  • Passionate about exploring and implementing new cloud technologies.
  • Collaborative mindset with a willingness to share knowledge and support team members.
  • Strong project management skills with a focus on task prioritization.
