Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineering Lead to join our team at Interac Corp. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering scalable and secure platform solutions that meet the evolving needs of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Platform Design and Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop scalable and secure platform solutions that meet business requirements.
  2. Tooling and Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve tooling and processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  3. Infrastructure Management: Ensure the availability and security of our production services by implementing and maintaining system configurations and baselines.
  4. DevOps and Automation: Implement deep telemetry capabilities to provide ongoing success and performance metrics, and ensure infrastructure and application security by design.
  5. Team Collaboration: Work closely with development and product teams to understand their bottlenecks and mentor them on operational ownership.
  6. Technical Skills: Possess strong knowledge of cloud-native technologies, including container orchestration tools, cloud technologies, and event streaming technologies.
Requirements
  1. Education: Post-secondary degree or diploma in Engineering, Programming/Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  2. Experience: 3+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on platform engineering and cloud-native technologies.
  3. Skills: Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex problems in simple language to non-technical people.
  4. Technical Skills: Proficient in Bash, Python, and RESTful APIs, with experience in DevOps tooling and implementation, container orchestration tools, and cloud technologies.
