Seaspan Shipyards is seeking skilled welders to join our team in Vancouver. As a leading shipbuilding company, we are proud to be Canada's long-term, strategic shipbuilding partner for the Canadian Coast Guard and Royal Canadian Navy.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform high-quality welds using various processes, including FCAW, SMAW, GTAW, and SAW
- Work in a team environment to meet project deadlines
- Collaborate with other shipbuilding professionals to ensure safe and efficient operations
- Meet or exceed quality and productivity standards
- Red Seal Qualifications as a Welder or a minimum of 4 years of welding experience
- CWB All Position FCAW Qualification with a minimum of 6 Months Validity remaining or equivalent
- CWB All Position SMAW Qualification with a minimum of 6 Months Validity remaining or equivalent
- Demonstrated proficiency in manual burning using oxy/fuel cutting equipment
- Demonstrated proficiency in air-arc gouging in all positions
- Competitive hourly rate
