Position

The Master Planner reports to the Director of Operations and is responsible for working cross-functionally in a multi-site environment to ensure customer satisfaction commitments are met. This includes developing production schedules, managing inventory to maintain appropriate levels, and coordinating the availability of raw materials.

Responsibilities

  • Translate projected forecasts, incoming volume, and work scopes into a production plan with a time-phased build schedule
  • Work with the customer base to determine weekly inbound forecasts and develop consumption models to improve accuracy
  • Establish key performance indicators of forecast accuracy
  • Ensure the interaction of functional managers and track and maintain the forecast through timely and accurate feedback
  • Schedule demand based on the product mix and provide accurate commitment dates to the customer service team across multiple product lines
  • Assemble master schedule reporting regarding performance to the business plan, the shipment plan, the inventory plan, and the production plan
  • Provide input to Finance on operating plans for the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, concerning incoming volume and capacity
  • Identify current planned levels of demand and create tactical production plans to meet the identified customer demand
  • Calculate production lead times
  • Establish reporting to determine labor and productivity performance statistics
  • Establish, measure, monitor, and adjust capacity levels to execute all manufacturing schedules
  • Engage in capacity management during sales and operations planning, master scheduling, materials requirements planning, and production activity control

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant supply chain planning experience
  • At least 3 years as a Master Planner
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering
  • Thorough and in-depth knowledge of ERP systems, Master Production Scheduling, Production Planning, and Capacity Planning
  • Bilingual; excellent communication skills in both English and French
  • Proven track record of improving process efficiencies and as a change agent
  • Ability to work with and through people from diverse backgrounds to deliver business objectives
  • Experience in fast-paced and growth-oriented environments
