Zehr Group, a leading construction company, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee major construction and renovation projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to established standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Project Oversight: Oversee major construction and renovation projects to ensure timely completion, budget adherence, and quality standards.
- Leadership: Lead project teams, overseeing and administering project phases, including concept, design, tender, construction, and commissioning.
- Risk Management: Develop and implement risk management plans, monitoring and reporting on risk, and developing responses to mitigate risk.
- Site Safety: Manage project site safety, collaborating with third-party and in-house resources.
- Procurement: Coordinate the procurement process with service providers and client groups.
- Financial Management: Establish preliminary and final budgets, ensuring budget control and monitoring costs during all phases.
- Communication: Maintain effective relationships with clients, trades, and consultants through effective communication.
- Reporting: Provide regular project updates to the VP, Construction Operations.
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
- Certification: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an asset.
- Experience: Proven working experience in project management.
- Skills: Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills, solid organizational skills, and experience with project management software tools.
Compensation will be based on experience, education, and performance. Expenses will be paid on a monthly basis for car mileage in accordance with Canada Revenue Agency regulations. Other related work expenses are to be approved.
