About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analytics Solutions Architect to join our team at Amazon Web Services Canada, Inc. - D46. As a key member of our Data and AI team, you will be responsible for providing expertise across the entire life cycle of an AWS customer initiative, from developing ideas for new services to accelerating the adoption of established businesses.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Thought Leadership - Develop and share best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, white-papers, reference architectures, and public-speaking events to evangelize AWS Analytics services.
  2. Customer Advisor - Build prototypes, PoCs, and explore new solutions to help customers design and implement solutions that leverage our Data and AI services.
  3. Technical Liaison - Act as a liaison between customers and the AWS Analytics services teams to provide product improvement feedback and ensure seamless customer experience.
  4. Community Development - Develop and support an AWS internal community of Analytics related subject matter experts worldwide.
Requirements
  1. 7 years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructures.
  2. 5+ years of management experience of technical, customer-facing resources.
  3. 5+ years of Analytics experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experience.
  2. Experience working with end-user or developer communities.
  3. Experience managing data and ETL pipelines.
  4. Experience as a leader and mentor on a data analytics team.
  5. Active in the open source community, such as Apache Spark.
  6. Large distributed big data processing and data warehouse experience.
