Job Overview

We are seeking an exceptional Environmental Microbiologist Researcher to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in microbiology and ecology, with expertise in microbial physiology, metabolism, or ecology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct innovative research in environmental microbiology, focusing on areas such as microbial ecology, physiology, or metabolism.
  • Develop and maintain an externally funded research program, securing grants from government agencies, foundations, or private organizations.
  • Supervise graduate students and postdoctoral fellows, providing guidance and mentorship to support their academic and professional growth.
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in microbiology, developing engaging curricula and assessments that promote student learning and success.
  • Pursue opportunities for collaboration with faculty members, industry partners, and other stakeholders to advance knowledge and innovation in environmental microbiology.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A PhD in Microbiology, Ecology, or a related field.
  • Postdoctoral experience in a relevant field, with a strong track record of research achievements and publications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, students, and external partners.

Compensation and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. Additionally, they will be eligible for benefits, including health and dental insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
