Medical Microbiologist Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Medical Microbiologist to join our team in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at BC Children's Hospital.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Medical Microbiology services, including participation in the on-call roster.
- Conduct rapid bacteriology and virology testing, including an extensive menu of microbiological nucleic acid amplification tests.
- Provide Infection Control services, including support for the Infection Control Program at PHSA.
- Build relationships and provide prompt and expert consultative services to physicians and other healthcare providers.
- Participate in academic teaching and research.
- Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of British Columbia.
- Fellowship in Medical Microbiology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, or equivalent qualification.
