Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Wellness Navigator, Substance Use Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in advancing our vision of promoting healthy, vibrant, and self-determining BC First Nations children, families, and communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement harm reduction strategies to support individuals impacted by substance use.
  • Collaborate with lived experience voices, partners, and policing services to provide solutions, services, and awareness.
  • Provide guidance and support to individuals, families, and communities affected by substance use.
  • Work closely with our team to develop and implement programs and services that promote health and wellness.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of recent and relevant experience in substance use prevention or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as social work, public health, or a related field.
  • Naloxone training, First aid level 1 (with CPR), HEP B shot, and flu vaccine.
  • In-depth knowledge of the BC healthcare system and the current landscape of First Nations health in BC.
