Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Navigator for Substance Use to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in advancing our vision of promoting healthy, vibrant, and self-determining BC First Nations children, families, and communities.
About the Role
This role operates within a harm reduction approach in the context of drug decriminalization. Your mission is to guide individuals impacted by Substance Use (SU) toward solutions, services, and awareness, all while collaborating with lived experience voices, partners, and policing services.
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and support to individuals impacted by Substance Use (SU)
- Collaborate with lived experience voices, partners, and policing services
- Develop and implement harm reduction strategies
- Conduct outreach and engagement activities
Requirements
- 3-5 years of recent and relevant experience in substance use prevention or a related field
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Naloxone training, First aid level 1 (with CPR), HEP B shot, and flu vaccine
- In-depth knowledge of the BC healthcare system and the current landscape of First Nations health in BC

- Municipal Pension plan with an employer contribution of 9.31% after eligibility period
- 3 weeks' vacation, which increases with service to 4 weeks, plus 5 personal days, 1 volunteer day, and 14 holidays
