Job Description

As a key member of our construction team at Formstructures Construction, you will play a critical role in overseeing the successful completion of projects from start to finish.

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Construction Site Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a liaison between the construction management team, project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and implement site-specific safety plans to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel and adhere to company Health and Safety Policy.
  • Work closely with the project manager and construction management team to develop comprehensive project schedules, including daily reviews and weekly updates of the critical path to ensure effective issue management.
  • Monitor and manage subcontractor and material supplier progress to ensure they remain on schedule and meet project targets.
  • Ensure all subcontractors perform work to industry standards and project specifications of quality.
  • Prepare and submit daily site reports, including photos, to demonstrate progress and identify any construction issues to the construction management team.
  • Coordinate with local authorities and testing engineers to ensure all required inspections take place.
  • Review and sign off on time sheets submitted by subcontractors working on a time and material basis.
  • Manage project completion deficiencies and assist the construction management team in completing close-out documents.
  • Attend production meetings and maintain and update construction drawings for any changes to the work.
  • Collect JSA's (Job Safety Analysis) from every worker prior to starting work each day.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A strong background in construction management, preferably with experience in leading large-scale projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
