Quality Assurance Supervisor Job Description

ICE Western Sales is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Supervisor to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of quality in the manufacturing of Air Handling Units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality assurance programs to ensure manufactured products meet set standards of quality, reliability, and performance.
  • Oversee the daily quality control workflow/activities of all departments involved in the manufacturing process.
  • Monitor the conformance of all departments to policies and procedures as they affect the quality of the product and services or conformance to the specified requirements.
  • Work with supervisors of various departments to fill in and complete quality control sheets applicable to that specific step in the manufacturing process.
  • Evaluate production units, ensuring that materials and products meet design and acceptable quality/integrity standards.
  • Develop and maintain quality systems, procedures, and instructions in accordance with the requirements of the company's stated quality policy.
  • Facilitate communication among production departments and design department to resolve any problems identified.
  • Draft and maintain logs, records, and other documentation of testing procedures, methodologies, and criteria.
  • Analyze quality control test results and offer feedback and interpretations of those results to production management or staff.
  • Draft and maintain standard operating procedures, manuals, and documentation for the manufacturing and QA processes.
  • Monitor and periodically report on production quality, nonconformance, trends, and underlying causes of defects in products or processes.
  • Ensure dimensional data meets associated drawings and specifications.
  • Ensure all associated paperwork (test forms, inspection forms, drawings) is completed and accurate.
  • Maintain company's testing equipment, ensuring all equipment is tracked and calibrations current. Coordinate external calibration requirements.
  • Cease production when serious product defects or risks arise.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes comply with local and global standards of production.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree/Diploma in related industrial, scientific, or business field required.
  • 3 years proven experience in quality control management, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of quality control standards and methodology.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
