Job Title: Specialist, Quality Assurance

CB Canada is seeking a highly skilled Specialist, Quality Assurance to join our team for a 6-month contract in Calgary, AB.

Job Summary:

The Specialist, Quality Assurance will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day testing activities for multiple integration projects. This includes managing and coordinating SAP testing activities, evaluating business software and system requirements, and translating these requirements into detailed test cases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate day-to-day SAP testing activities at the project team level, including setup of test environments and test data management.
  • Evaluate business software and system requirements to ensure they can be translated into both functional and non-functional tests.
  • Translate business software/system requirements into detailed test cases and record them using Tricentis qTest.
  • Execute test steps and record results in Tricentis qTest, identifying and creating data required to execute test cases.
  • Participate in defect review sessions with the software development team, business analyst, and test manager to ensure clear communication of defects found.
  • Conduct peer review of test cases with other testers on the team to ensure quality and suggest improvements.
  • Provide input to testing estimates and progress reports to the test manager and project management team.
  • Participate in independent quality assessments to ensure products and services meet or exceed quality standards and objectives.
  • Collaborate with delivery, development, test, and business teams to fully understand the future business state and proposed application/system changes.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience required.
  • 8-10 years of experience in manual testing in SAP/Custom-based business applications.
  • Automated or performance testing experience is an asset.
  • 5 years of experience as a Test Lead on large or multiple SAP/Custom projects.
  • Certification in Software Quality (American Society for Quality - Certified Software Quality Engineer) or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following technologies: networking, database, SAP, and/or web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, JSP, ASP, ABAP,.NET, MQ, Oracle, and SQL Queries.
  • Experience with business applications is an asset.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience with Tricentis qTest or similar test management tools.
