Manager, Patient Safety and Quality Improvement

Job Summary
The Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager, Patient Safety and Quality Improvement to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading and managing quality and safety initiatives across our organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage quality and safety initiatives, including the development and implementation of quality improvement plans and strategies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize quality and safety issues, and develop and implement solutions to address these issues.
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff on quality and safety matters, including the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
- Conduct root cause analyses and other investigations to identify and address quality and safety issues.
- Develop and implement education and training programs to promote quality and safety awareness and best practices.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of quality and safety initiatives, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure alignment and integration of quality and safety initiatives with organizational goals and objectives.
Requirements
- Master's degree in a related field, such as healthcare administration, quality improvement, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a quality and safety leadership role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Proven track record of leading and managing quality and safety initiatives, including the development and implementation of quality improvement plans and strategies.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct root cause analyses and other investigations.
- Ability to develop and implement education and training programs to promote quality and safety awareness and best practices.
- Strong knowledge of quality and safety principles, including the ability to develop and implement policies and procedures.
