Job Title: Quality and Safety Leader, Neonatal Program

BC Women's Hospital & Health Centre is seeking a highly skilled Quality and Safety Leader to join our Neonatal Program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading quality improvement initiatives, monitoring safety and quality, and providing education and support to staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives to improve patient care outcomes and reduce risks.
  • Monitor staff and physician perceptions of safety and quality, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement education plans to address learning needs and improve quality and safety.
  • Provide consultation, guidance, and support to staff, teams, and committees on quality and safety initiatives.
  • Facilitate, coach, and support improvement teams in developing, monitoring, and analyzing key performance indicators.
  • Provide expert support for data analysis to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and implement patient safety and risk indicators, alert systems, and other risk prevention strategies.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of quality and safety initiatives and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Master's degree in Nursing, Leadership, Health Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical practice and professional management/leadership experience.
  • Previous experience in quality, patient safety, risk management, or accreditation preferred.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with ability to facilitate and negotiate with stakeholders.
  • Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada.
