Bakery Manager Job Description

The Bagel House is seeking a skilled Bakery Manager to lead our team of bakers and pastry chefs. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the production of high-quality baked goods, managing inventory, and ensuring that our bakery runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the production of bread, pastries, and other baked goods
  • Supervise a team of bakers and pastry chefs
  • Order and manage inventory of ingredients and supplies
  • Develop and implement recipes and menu items
  • Ensure that all products meet our high standards of quality and presentation
  • Train and develop staff to improve skills and knowledge
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Monitor and control costs to ensure profitability
Requirements:
  • 3-4 years of experience in a bakery or pastry kitchen
  • Proven track record of managing a team and leading a kitchen
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
