Member Advisor Role

We are seeking a skilled Member Advisor to provide exceptional service to our members at our Cherry Lane Valley First branch in Penticton, BC.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Member Service: Respond to member inquiries and needs through various channels, building strong relationships and identifying opportunities to provide financial advice or referrals.
  • Member Transactions: Process a range of member transactions, including account openings, debit/credit card applications, and deposits, while promoting digital banking adoption and achieving sales targets.
  • Branch Goals: Contribute to the achievement of annual branch objectives by promoting First West products and services, participating in branch campaigns, and seeking cross-sell and referral opportunities.
  • Other Responsibilities: Stay informed about industry developments, regulatory changes, and organizational policies, and participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance member experience and organizational efficiency.
  • Branch/Team Support: Collaborate with the team, provide support and mentorship, and address communication issues to maintain a positive and diverse work environment.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma required
  • Completion of FW Sales Essentials Course within 6 months of hire required
  • Must complete the internal First West certification program specific to this role within the required timeframe
  • College, Trade or Tech School Diploma (2 years) preferred
  • 2 years of retail/customer service experience or equivalent required
  • Sales and cash handling experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to identify needs and recommend products and services to members
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with current and potential members
  • Demonstrated ability to be positive, flexible to change and work in a busy environment
  • Proficient in computer software programs, including Microsoft Office
  • Displays an understanding of risk and risk ownership by being able to demonstrate adherence to policies and procedures

Pay Transparency: Salary Range: $43,000 - $48,700
