Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team. In this full-time position, you will conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, provide individual and group counselling, and connect patients with community resources. You will be part of an interdependent multidisciplinary team, working closely with colleagues and peers across the organization and in the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct individual and group counselling sessions using evidence-based therapies, including CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Brief Structured Therapy.
  • Develop and facilitate groups, as well as provide one-on-one counselling to clients.
  • Create engaging and informative content for group therapy programs.
  • Support and adhere to hospital and College policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough clinical documentation.
  • Participate in education and training opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Nursing or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing.
  • Current membership in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Minimum 3-4 years' experience in mental health nursing.
  • Completed education from a recognized program in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.
  • Experience with providing individual and group therapy using CBT, DBT informed groups, Motivational Interviewing, and Brief Therapies.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills.

We offer a competitive salary range of $83,500 - $125,500 per year, depending on experience. Our total compensation package includes benefits, pension, and vacation time.
