Nurse Specialist in Mental Health Care

Job SummaryThis is a full-time regular position that involves providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare providers. As a Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing patients, developing individualized care plans, and implementing evidence-based interventions to promote optimal health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Demonstrate expertise in nursing practice and provide guidance to other team members as needed.
- Assess patients' physical and emotional needs and develop comprehensive care plans.
- Collaborate with physicians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Implement evidence-based interventions to promote patient safety, comfort, and well-being.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and reports.
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in mental health nursing, preferably in an inpatient setting.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification or willingness to obtain.
- Bilingualism in French/English an asset.
