Job Title: Automation QA Technical Lead

Eaton's Energy Automation Solutions division is seeking a highly skilled QA Technical Lead to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in the field of power engineering solutions.

Job Summary:

The QA Technical Lead will be responsible for ensuring the high quality of our software solutions. This includes participating in the testing, quality control, and automation of test scripts for our software and high technology projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensures software meets high standards before release
  • Sets standards, assigns tasks, and inspires the team
  • Mentors the team throughout the development lifecycle
  • Innovates and enhances quality processes
  • Collaborates with engineers and project managers in an agile environment
  • Creates and executes automated tests
  • Defines and reviews project quality standards
  • Schedules and manages different testing cycle phases
  • Oversees test planning, execution, and issue tracking
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's studies in engineering, computer science or equivalent from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in test automation and applying software testing techniques
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in programming (C++/C#, Java and/or Python)
  • Experience on tests automation tools for Desktop, Web applications or Web services (e.g. Cypress, Selenium, Test Complete, SOAPUI, Postman)
  • Experience with Git, GitHub and CI/CD
  • Fluency in French and English (working proficiency)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now and in the future
  • Candidates must reside within 80Km of the Brossard facility
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience leading an engineering team
  • Studies of Software Quality Assurance or certifications in software testing
  • Experience in performance testing and tools (e.g. JMeter)
  • Knowledge in power system engineering
