Reporting to the Pharmacy Site Coordinator or designate and under the supervision of the Site and/or Clinical Coordinator, the Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for providing clinical pharmacy services and pharmaceutical care for the majority of the time.

Qualifications: Education, Training And Experience

Completion of an Accredited Pharmacy Residency or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is required. The successful candidate must also be licensed by, or eligible for licensing by the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia.

Skills And Abilities
  • The ability to identify and resolve drug therapy problems is essential.
  • The ability to apply clinical knowledge and make sound decisions with minimal supervision is critical.
  • The Clinical Pharmacist must be able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary health care team.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with physicians, other health practitioners, patients, and family members is necessary.
  • Effective communication in English, both verbally and in writing, is required.
  • The ability to be self-directed, organize workload, prioritize tasks, and complete them with accuracy, precision, and dependability is essential.
  • Teaching skills are also required.
  • The Clinical Pharmacist must be able to operate related equipment, including standard computerized office software applications.
  • The ability to physically and emotionally carry out the duties of the position is necessary.

The estimated annual salary for this position is $ 120,000.
