Job Title: Community And Social Worker

This position will work within the Options and Opportunities day program, supporting individuals in their daily life skills, including physical, vocational, recreational, social, and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist participants/clients to connect with the community and achieve the greatest degree of independence and quality of life possible.
  • Perform personal care and support individuals with physical and developmental disabilities.
  • Provide life skills support and development, including feeding, grooming, and personal care.
  • Work effectively independently and as a strong member of a team.
  • Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and other professionals.
Requirements:
  • Community and School Support certificate and recent related experience supporting individuals with physical and/or developmental disabilities.
  • Class 4 Unrestricted DL and safe driving record (abstract).
  • Current CPR-C, MANDT, Safe Food Handling, and Medication Management training.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with and support individuals with physical and developmental disabilities.
  • Strong experience providing life skills support and development.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with other professionals, co-workers, and supervisors.
Working Conditions:

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, supporting individuals with varying needs and abilities.

The successful candidate will be required to work a 35-hour workweek, with a salary of $21.63/hour.
